Operations Manager

Who we’re looking for:

OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Operations Manager provides leadership to the Operations Team to ensure that all guests receive the highest level of service that is consistent with the philosophy of Pineapple Hospitality. The Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the operating departments of the hotel provides all guests with quality service and a clean and safe environment during their stay at the hotel.

What to expect:

Here are a few things that will make your days full and rewarding:

  1. Supervising, coaching, mentoring and monitoring team members throughout the hotel as assigned by the General Manager.
  2. Ensures that all guests receive excellent service during their stay at our hotel. This is achieved by leading by example and understanding the Pineapple Hospitality culture
  3. Interview, select, hire and train applicants for the Rooms division.
  4. Prepare performance reviews and provide assessment of team members’ performance and development. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Prepare counseling documentation and conduct counseling meetings as necessary.
  5. Monitoring overtime and payroll costs, department costs and assisting with preparation of budgets.
  6. Maintain security of room keys and key control procedures.
  7. Compile and report any damage, repair needs, safety or maintenance issues to the maintenance department or the General Manager.
  8. Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests. Demonstrated initiative – ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

Your experience and qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. One to three years of related experience.
  3. Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, motivate, and contribute as part of a team.
  4. Working knowledge of Opera PMS preferred.
  5. Ability to quickly assess situations and create effective resolutions to problems.
  6. Possess a passion to provide excellent customer service.
  7. Proficient at fulfilling requests in a thorough and timely manner.
  8. Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
