Who we’re looking for:

BAR SUPERVISOR

The Bar Supervisor will take charge of our daily bar operations, be responsible for creating exceptional cocktails, providing outstanding service and ensure a welcoming atmosphere while providing an unforgettable guest experience. For weary travelers, you’re more than a Bar Supervisor. You are their absolute favorite person at the end of a long flight or a stressful day. In addition to expertly mixing cocktails and serving up ice-cold drafts, you are an ultra-friendly ambassador for everything we do here at Staypineapple.

What to expect:

Here are a few things that will make your days full and rewarding:

  1. Ensure adherence to and completion of specified procedures for proper opening, serving guests and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, taking and delivering orders, cleaning all customer tables, equipment areas, locking doors, etc.
  2. Adhere to outlet policies and procedures, including service style to ensure professional standards of Bar/Restaurant operation are met.
  3. Ensure compliance of sanitary practices for proper drink preparation, food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the Bar/Restaurant dining areas.
  4. Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  5. Ensure that financial (beverage ordering, receiving, inventory, invoices, reporting) forms are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company SOP’s.
  6. Ensure that the Bar operations meets department budgetary parameters.
  7. Maintain a hygienic work environment – routine cleaning of all surfaces, machines, sinks, work tables, bar tops, floors, ceiling vents, storage areas, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness.
  8. Foster/use suggestive selling techniques to promote the sale of food and beverage.
  9. Correctly learn and use point of sale system to tender all transactions accurately.
  10. Maintain daily logs including but not limited to: waste, breakage, chemical and general equipment maintenance and operations (track needed equipment repairs).
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager to support all Food & Beverage operations.

Your experience and qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Two plus years in a fast-paced restaurant, bar or coffee shop in a supervisory role.
  3. Food Handlers and Liquor Permit required.
  4. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic.
  5. Ability to quickly assess situations and create effective resolutions to problems.
  6. Proficient at fulfilling guest requests in a thorough and timely manner.
  7. Knowledge and application of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
  9. Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
